Salicylic Acid is the most common type of beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Beta Hydroxy Acids are oil-soluble and have the ability to penetrate deeper into the skin for maximum results. Salicylic Acid is naturally derived from willow bark and is best known in the industry for helping to prevent acne and breakouts.

Which skin types is Salicylic Acid best for?

If you have oily and blemish-prone skin, Salicylic Acid is your go-to acid. Steer clear of this acid if you have dry skin as this could further aggravate the dryness.
