Vitamin C Ester is L-ascorbic acid with the addition of palmitic acid – a fatty acid that is derived from palm oil. The addition of palmitic acid makes the new molecule fat soluble, rather than water soluble, so it can easily penetrate the skin’s surface. Vitamin C Easter has been shown to absorb more readily into the skin and achieve up to seven times higher levels in the skin than L-ascorbic acid alone. This makes it a more potent, more stable, and more effective ingredient that helps to improve skin elasticity and hyperpigmentation whilst also working as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
