How to apply Bondi Sands fake tan

Step 1: Prep your skin the night before: A great tan starts with a great base, so take a warm bath or shower and use your favourite exfoliator to gently polish your skin to perfection. Apply your favourite moisturiser and pay special attention to drier patches like your knees, elbows, and wrists.

Step 2: Apply your tan: Using a tanning mitt, apply your favourite Bondi Sands tan all over your body using long, sweeping motions. Each tan will give you flawless results, but if you’re new to tanning or feeling a little nervous, choose a Bondi Sands tanning foam which gives you a guide colour so you can clearly see the areas you’ve covered. Use what’s left on your mitt at the end of the application to apply the tan to the tops of your feet, the backs of your hands, and your face, making sure to gently blend the tan into your hairline for a seamless finish. Allow your tan to dry before getting dressed in loose, dark clothing, and allow your tan to develop – developing time is usually from one hour for express tans, and from around six hours for classic formulas.

Step 3: Rinse and glow!: Once your tan has developed, head off to a warm (not hot) shower and rinse away the guide colour. Once the water runs clear, hop out and gently pat your skin dry. Don’t forget to admire your gorgeous new glow as you go!

Step 4: Prolong your tan: To keep your tan looking its best, gently exfoliate your skin every couple of days in the shower, then apply your Bondi Sands gradual tanning lotion. This will keep your skin deeply hydrated whilst maintaining your glow. For an extra glow boost, use Bondi Sands Liquid Gold in between your normal fake tan applications.
