When skin is smooth and hair-free, life just seems that little bit better! You don't have to worry about wearing that mini dress or swimsuit, there's no pesky shaving rash that leaves you wanting to cover up and the results are lasting. Whether you choose to pluck, shave, wax or thread, these are all temporary solutions as they are simply weakening the hair follicle not destroying it. At Face the Future, we offer a variety of permanent hair reduction methods, there's something for everyone!

Laser Hair Removal

With over a decade of experience in laser hair removal and our top quality laser machines; you can be assured that you are in the best possible hands with Face the Future's expert clinicians. We use Soprano and ND-YAG, each laser offers a targeted treatment for different hair and skin types. It's worth noting though, for laser hair removal to be successful, the hair must have a dark pigment. This means laser hair removal won't work on blonde, light brown, red, grey or silver hair. Don't worry though; we have other options available and included in this blog. To learn more about laser hair removal, head to our blog: Laser Hair Removal Myths Busted.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is also a popular treatment, as it works on any hair colour that is coarse i.e. blonde, white, grey, red, brown or black. We tend to offer Electrolysis for patients that have dotted hairs on the face with a mixture of colours, as it is more effective than laser. However, Electrolysis is a time consuming process as the treatment involves targeting one follicle at a time, therefore this treatment is only suitable for the face. Electrolysis can also be used alongside Alkaline Wash, more about that below

Alkaline Wash

The Alkaline Wash from Danne Montague King works on fine downy hair, this can be done anywhere on the body but is mostly carried out on the face to treat fluffy hair. This treatment is also used to treat folliculitis as it is designed to dissolve the hair and skin to release any trapped hairs. The treatment is comfortable and can be completed in 30 minutes. In order to get the best results with all these hair removal options, a number of sessions are required. This is because the hair growth cycle needs to be in the active stage for it to be destroyed. All of these aspects will be discussed in detail upon consultation, and a patch test is also required to ensure the patient is suitable for treatment. This is usually carried out during the consultation process at a cost of £25.If you are considering becoming hair-free, please do not hesitate to contact Face the Future for a free consultation, where we will discuss which method of hair removal is suitable for you.
