Darker the better!

Chocolate, coffee and your favourite little black dressthe same rule applies: the darker the better! And the same rule applies to your hair when it comes to laser hair removal. For successful laser hair removal, the hair must have a dark pigment. Unfortunately this means laser hair removal won't work on blonde, red, grey or silver hair. Although all is not lost, this type of hair can be treated with electrolysis and alkaline wash methods. You can read more about these methods in our blog, Hair Removal: The Different Ways to De-Fuzz.

Reasons to de-fuzz BEFORE summer arrives

  1. It's important to keep skin that has been treated by laser hair removal out of the sun. So the winter months, when you're most likely covered up, is the best time to complete a course of treatments.
  2. Starting the laser hair removal process in plenty of time means you'll be hair-free in time for the warmer months, when you are going to want to get your shorts & skirts from the back of the wardrobe!
  3. Planning an epic summer holiday with your other half or girlfriends? No need to pack a razor if you've completed your laser hair removal treatments beforehand!

How long does it take?

Laser hair removal can offer a permanent reduction of hair but does require regular maintenance by attending appointments every 4 to 6 weeks. For the best results 6 to 12 treatments are recommended with additional top-up treatments if required.

How should I prepare for treatment?

The area being treated must be shaved and free from any tan. That means any natural tan, false tan and sunbed.

Does it hurt?

No, laser hair removal is NOT painful.
