Non-Surgical Cosmetic Tweakments

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Tweakments

According to industry experts, cosmetic 'tweakments' are set to be a growing trend in 2019. Patients are opting for more subtle and natural results that can be achieved with minimal downtime.

At Face the Future, our ethos is built around offering our patients small corrections and improvements to enhance what is already there, rather than obvious changes that alters the way someone looks. With the growing trend for subtle 'tweakments', we hope to see a fall in the inappropriate use of injectables seen in the industry, with patients opting for a more subtle and natural approach to age management and the emergence of a more elegant look. So, what are our favourite 'tweakment' treatments at Face the Future?

Profhilo

We've always been a little bit in love with Profhilo and 2019 is seeing more patients moving away from the obvious 'filler look' and onto a treatment that gives a much more natural enhancement and finish.Profhilo is a non cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, which also gives it an excellent safety profile. It's a unique product and sits in a category all by itself, offering one of the highest levels of Hyaluronic Acid on the market.Profhilo is injected into very specific areas of the face, encouraging hydration but also stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin. The result is significant improvement to the skin tissue and often a substantial lifting and tightening effect.Profhilo is recommended as a course of 2 treatments, twice a year and can be used as a stand-alone treatment or as part of a programme of skin care in combination with other natural approaches.

PRX-T33

PRX-T33 stimulates skin tissue from the bottom up, giving significant improvements to skin quality and firmness. This 'no peel' peel is painless and doesn't cause any 'shed', though skin can feel a little dry afterwards.

This treatment isn't like traditional, more dramatic peels that cause shedding of the top layers of skin. Although these traditional 'shedding' peels are popular in the UK, they don't always give the best long-term results.

PRX works by passing the epidermis and penetrating the dermis, releasing growth factors. This leads to a reduction in lines and wrinkles, tightening in the skin as well as scar reduction.

PRX should be performed every week for up to six weeks with results lasting up to a year due to the regenerating effect on collagen and supporting tissue.

Microneedling

A world-renowned surgeon recently told me he'd returned all the lasers he had previously used for skin rejuvenation, moving his focus completely to microneedling for all skin rejuvenation and repair.Offering superior results with far less risk of dermal scarring, microneedling - when done safely and correctly - can give phenomenal results. The trick with microneedling is to have a good understanding of the depth of injury, growth factors and post-treatment products that are safe to use and help to maintain good results. A good practitioner, with a sound understanding of the treatment parameters, can help make significant improvements to texture, tone, wrinkle depth, pore reduction and of course scarring.

Whilst a single treatment is beneficial, often a course of treatments can give incredible and measurable results. At Face the Future we don't want to change the way you look, we just want to help you achieve a glowing, healthy, age appropriate skin to help you look and feel like the very best version of yourself.
