Mesoestetic Mesopeel: Post-Summer Pigmentation Treatments

Mesoestetic Mesopeel: Post-Summer Pigmentation Treatments

Now the heatwave appears to have come to a dramatic halt, summer may already feeling like a distant memory. You may still be looking forward to a late summer getaway, but at Face the Future, we are planning ahead and thinking about the pigmentation treatments to help with any damage caused during the warmer months.

Our clinicians recommend

During summer we recommend using depigmentation products that contain melanin inhibitors. One of our absolute favourites and best sellers is Mesoestetic Melan Tran3x Intensive Depigmenting Concentrate. This next generation depigmenting product contains a unique blend of Tranexamic Acid, Niacinamide, an Enzymatic complex and exfoliating acids.Alongside this, we must (as always) reiterate the importance of sunscreen for skin that is prone to pigmentation. Sunscreen is the ultimate prevention against pigmentation and we recommend Mesoestetic Mesoprotech Melan SPF 130+ Pigment Control, which offers very high levels of protection and added ingredients to regulate melanin synthesis and therefore prevent the formation of pigmentation. This sunscreen also has a slightly tinted colour in a universal shade that unifies skin tone and softens the appearance of imperfections.

Post-summer pigmentation treatments

We're planning ahead and thinking about the pigmentation treatments to help treat damage accumulated during the summer months. At Face the Future, we can treat pigmentation at both an epidermal and dermal level depending on the level of damage. We have lots of options available in clinic to treat the skin. Here are a few that we offer:Mesoestetic Mesopeel Melanostop Mesopeel Melanostop is £99 per treatment. This gentle and non-aggressive peel causes very little surface peeling. The skin can feel dry and tight directly after treatment but these symptoms usually subside after a few days. The whole face can be treated, but this treatment is also suitable for other parts of the body such as the hands.Melanostop combines different chemical exfoliants including Azelaic Acid, Resorcinol and Phytic Acid, which work to target hyperpigmentation as well as inhibiting the enzymes that cause the overproduction of melanin to reduce the likelihood of future pigmentation.

Mesoestetic Mesopeel MelanoplusMesopeel Melanoplus is £99 per treatment. This peel is more aggressive than the Mesopeel Melanostop, and is used in a more targeted format on individual spots and deeper post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). This can cause surface peeling in the areas being treated, but is a very effective treatment.Melanoplus is formulated with Trichloroacetic Acid, Kojic Acid, Ferulic Acid and Bexaretinyl complex. This unique combination of ingredients triggers a chemical exfoliant action on targeted areas of concern, whilst also inhibiting the tyrosinase system that is responsible for producing melanin.

Mesopeel combined peels are exclusive advanced dermapeels by Mesoestetic, formulated with a precise combination of chemical exfoliants. This synergistic combination of substances makes it possible to practically treat the most specific and common aesthetic disorders, including hyperpigmentation, acne, ageing and more, by maximizing the properties of each agent to give an overall effective result.

Mesoestetic Cosmelan

Cosmelan is £599 including homecare products. This is a far more intense depigmenting method, with an intensive corrective effect that regulates the overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes, inhibiting and controlling the appearance of new dark spots. This in-clinic treatment has a dual corrective and controlling action, achieving long-term results by keeping hyperpigmentation under control.Suited to more severe cases of pigmentation, Cosmelan is a long-term commitment to the treatment of pigmentation and requires careful planning alongside aftercare products. After the treatment, skin will feel dry, tight, red and itchy, with peeling occurring usually after day 3.

This process can last up to two weeks and is followed up for the next few months with homecare products to ensure the treatment is successful.
