What are the main benefits & what can it help with?

The OSKIA Rest Day Comfort Cream is ideal for skin restoration and recovery by supporting your skin’s natural microbiome, helping prevent trans epidermal water loss and deeply drawing in moisture for a more soothed and nurtured complexion.

The OSKIA Rest Day Comfort Cream is a calming, comforting, deeply nourishing moisturiser for daily use, especially those days when your skin needs a rest to recover its natural balance.

Benefits of OSKIA Rest Day Comfort Cream:

  • Our blend of 16 Amino Acids, together with Horse Chestnut, Bisabolol, Pro-Vitamin B5 and MSM, soothe and nurture.
  • Polyglutamic & Hyaluronic Acids draw in moisture to keep skin hydrated and supple.
  • Oat Ceramides replenish and support barrier function helping prevent trans epidermal water loss and dryness.
  • Encapsulated Probiotics support skin’s microbiome.

A nutritious and nurturing moisturiser designed with OSKIA’s Bio-Mimetic Nutri-Barrier Complex, a synergistic blend of amino acids, vitamins and bio-mimetic actives, to support the skin's vital barrier function, Microbiome, Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) and Acid Mantle, encouraging skin to rest and recuperate. Medium weight and non-comedogenic, this calming and soothing cream is ideal for both day and night-time use.

NMF is an expansive group of chemicals and substances including amino acids, lactates, sugars, salts, PCA, urea and peptides that work together to keep the skin’s surface intact, supple and hydrated. As we age, the NMF naturally weakens, and external, environmental factors, such as harsh exfoliation and pollutants, can damage and alter it, leading to dryness, accelerated ageing, sensitivity, skin damage and the ability of pathogens to entire the skin and moisture to leave.

The Acid Mantle (also called the hydro-lipid film) is a fine layer on the outer surface of our epidermis that is made of a mixture of dead skin cells, oils (sebum), amino acids and other skin secretions and sweat – it is the fine protective layer that sits between us and the world. This helps keep your skin at an optimal, slightly acidic PH between 4.5- 6.2 which is a protective barrier and the body’s first defense against viruses, bacteria and other pathogens. It is also our main protector against Trans epidermal Water Loss (TEWL) which simply means water or hydration escaping from the deeper layers of the skin.

Skin Microbiome is the ecosystem of millions of micro-organisms that live on the surface of our skin that includes bacteria, viruses and fungi. It is our body’s first line of defense and a vital part of our immune system.

How to use: Apply onto clean skin as required. Suitable for face, eyes, decolletage and hands.
