Today is National Bikini Day. While I don't think I'll be celebrating (parading around in the office in my swimwear may be a little inappropriate, not to mention chilly), I hope all you lovely people lucky enough to be by a pool, on the beach or simply in a warmer climate get to flaunt your bikini.
Here at Face the Future, we don't believe there is only one type of 'bikini body'; as long as you feel fabulous then you go girl! It's all about confidence, so if it takes a few sneaky products here and there to give you a boost then that's fine. Here are my pre-bikini must haves to help me feel my best on the beach.
I'm not one for crazy pre-holiday crash dieting but the thought of baring my body in public is always daunting, so I do try to shift a couple of pounds to help my confidence. If, like me, you always leave it too late to start your healthy eating campaign, these supplements are a lifesaver. The 14 day express plan works alongside a balanced diet and exercise to help shift fatty deposits and create a more defined body contour.
I find that the skin on my body gets super dry in the sun so a good body cream is essential. This summer I'm loving the Murad Youth Builder Collagen Support Body Cream as it's incredibly hydrating and nourishing but also contains a collagen support complex for additional anti-ageing benefits. Plus the lemongrass aroma is delightfully refreshing.
When skin is exposed to the sun SPF is essential and no holiday is complete without my Heliocare SPF 50 Spray. You'll know our team rave about the SPF 50 Gel for the face, but this 200ml spray allows for quick and easy application on the body with a high level of protection.
I do get pool side envy when my pasty white skin is next to deeper skin tones, but my diligent SPF application to prevent UV damage means my skin will never rich those deeper tones naturally. That's where Madame LA LA comes in. An easy to use self tan inspired by the beaches of LA that promises to last 7-10 days, meaning you can go all holiday with a golden tan and no one need know it's from a bottle. For those fair skinned gals, it also comes in a light shade
too.Written for you by:
