To achieve a healthy glowing skin the best way to start is by drinking sufficient amounts of water per day. The recommended daily amount is between 1.5-2 litres.
Drinking more water helps to clear toxins from the body keeps the skin fresh and healthy looking. Water is essential for the bodies growth and maintenance as it is involved in a number of processes it helps get rid of waste and regulates the bodies temperature and provides a medium for biological reactions to occur in the body.
Water is lost from the body through urine and sweat and must be replaced through the diet. If you don’t consume enough you can become dehydrated causing symptoms such as tiredness, dizziness, nausea and loss of concentration.
Start as you mean to go on!!
Start the day with a glass of water when you wake up on a morning.
Find time during the day to make yourself drinks, don’t forget that fruit teas and sugar free juices count towards your daily intake.
Keep a bottle of water in your bag at all times
When you’re at work fill a 2 litre of bottle of water and pour it into glasses, that way it’s easy to know how much water you are drinking per day.
The sensation of thirst is not felt until you are dehydrated; therefore try to drink before you get thirsty.
Increase your intake of fresh fruit and vegetables as they have high water content.
There are certainly no proven health benefits for bottled water over tap water as the tap water in the UK goes through many processes to bring it up to adequate standards.
