Products suitable for mild acne
We deal with hundreds of clients every month who suffer from acne. On occasions some of the people we see have medium to mild acne and advanced acne treatments aren’t needed, they just need to use the correct products.
At Face the Future, we stock paramedical skin products that actually work and by following 3 simple steps, you can have your acne looking better by following the correct program.
Using the simple regime put together by our acne specialists, we have seen many clients achieve fantastic results:
Step 1: Cleanse your face with a deep cleansing wash
With warm water, gently wash your face then, apply a small amount of a suitable deep cleansing wash and spread evenly across your face, then rinse with warm water and pat dry. A deep wash penetrates deeply into the skin to relieve the pressure and soreness of acne. Look for a natural, non alkaline cleanser for this stage.
Step 2: Apply a benzoyl peroxide based cream or lotion
Many acne cream manufactures provide a benzoyl based cream, but make sure you don’t get a watered down one so check the ingredients. For mild acne, a 5% strength is usually suitable, however 10% strength creams are available too, however the 10% is usually for people having in clinic treatments. Benzoyl peroxide oxygenates skin, and studies have shown applying this can improve your acne. Apply some Benzoyl cream to your hand and spread it evenly across the acne affected area. Allow about 5 minutes for this to dry, then follow step 3.
Step 3: Moisturise
Using benzoyl can make your skin dry or flaky, so using a good balanced moisturizer can keep your skin hydrated and prevent this happening. Apply a moisturizer to the areas you have applied the benzoyl cream and let it soak in.
It is amazing how these simple steps can improve your acne in under a week, but it is essential to follow this regime on a morning when you get up and on a night before you go to bed.
We recommend the products below from the following brands, however it is essential to come and visit us for a free consultation before using any of these products to see which is best for your skin.
