When we predicted Vitamin C as the skincare ingredient of 2018, we knew there would be some epic product launches “ but this one has got the Face the Future team very excited!

Image Skincare's original and best-selling collection is extending! Vital C is formulated for dry, sensitive and redness-prone skin and the new products “ launching early May “ provide an intense hit of hydration that is going to quench even the most dehydrated of skins!

Vitamin C in skincare

Vitamin C is a multi-tasking antioxidant ingredient that has a long-list of benefits for the skin. Increased hydration, reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles, a brighter complexion and improved skin tone. That's one hell of a hard-working skincare ingredient!

Ascorbic Acid (as featured in Image Skincare Vital C products) is the most potent form of Vitamin C and it's proven antioxidant properties help to create younger-looking and firmer-feeling skin. Amongst its multitude of skin benefits, Ascorbic Acid (also known as L-Ascorbic Acid) helps to shield skin from the harmful effects of pollution. Pollution causes accelerated ageing, so just like our daily SPF, antioxidants should be included in a skincare regime to help avoid environmental damage.

Skin tone is improved, smoothed and energised “ all while you get a good night's sleep! This luxurious overnight creme contains a triple mineral complex as well as a natural derivative of retinoid “ blue-green algae extract. Skin is revitalised, hydrated and the appearance of fine lines are diminished.

What we love about this product: What's not to love? Apply before bed and wake up to glowing skin!

Image Skincare Vital C Hydrating Water Burst

As the name might suggest, this thirst-quenching hit of hydration is like a tall glass of water for your skin! The lightweight gel is enriched with hyaluronic acid, brightening nutrients, protective polyphenols and anti-ageing peptides. Upon application, it releases a flood of antioxidants for a youthful, brighter and healthier-looking complexion.

What we love about this product: When applied to skin, the innovative emulsion technology breaks into water droplets when massaged into the skin for intense hydration!

Image Skincare Vital C ACE serum

Although this isn't a new product, Image Skincare has updated the formula with exciting new additions! The serum now contains three forms of Vitamin C for increased absorption, alongside a blend of powerful plant antioxidants, five amino acids AND red rose wine complex, which is high in polyphenols.

This everyday serum boosts skin's overall health whilst visibly reducing signs of ageing, supporting collagen production and improving skin's antioxidant defense.

What we love about this product: We have long been fans of this serum, but the updated formula contains three “ yes THREE! “ forms of Vitamin C for ultra-effective absorption.

Alex's favourite Image Skincare products:

I suffer with oily skin and frequent breakouts, I find the Clear Cell Salicylic Gel Cleanser helps to keep my blemishes at bay without being too drying on my skin like some leave-on exfoliants.

I also use Prevention+ Daily Matte Moisturiser SPF 30, which is oil free so it doesn't clog my pores. When compared to other oil-free SPFs I have used in the past, it doesn't feel dry or chalky, never leaves a white cast and actually feels hydrating! It's perfect for protecting my oily skin from UVA & UVB rays.

Claire's favourite Image Skincare product:

My favourite Image Skincare products are from the Ageless range. I enjoy using Ageless The Max Facial Cleanser as it is acid, sulfate and paraben-free which helps to balance and optimise skin's natural pH.

My skin can sometimes get dehydrated, so I like to use Ageless Total Pure Hyaluronic Acid to boost my skin's hydration. The highly concentrated and botanically derived hyaluronic acid serum is infused with an apricot essential oil as well as the potent antioxidant Vitamin E. My skin feels instantly quenched, so I am excited to try the new & improved formula!

The focus with my skincare regime is always brightening and hydrating. That's why I like to start my skincare regime with Image Skincare's Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser.
