PRX-T33: When Is A Peel Not A Peel?
A long-term favourite at Face the Future, PRX-T33 is rapidly starting to gain a cult following as the peel with no down time the "no-peel" peel, if you will. Following a recent feature in British beauty expert, Inge van Lotringen's Daily Mail column, we have had lots of enquiries about this incredible treatment
Frequently, an increasing number of patients are looking for treatments that offer fabulous results with limited downtime. This can be a tricky area to navigate at times, but PRX-T33 is proving extremely popular with people who can't afford any significant downtime as well as those in the spotlight such as Instagram influencers and celebrities.
How does PRX-T33 work?
Although we call it the "no-peel" peel PRX-T33, strictly speaking, isn't a peel. Instead, it is a bio-revitalising product that contains TCA (Trichloracetic Acid) at a concentration of 33% and low dose Hydrogen Peroxide, which helps protect skin tissue and enhance the effectiveness of growth factor receptors.
The Hydrogen Peroxide works by protecting the epidermis and carries the TCA down to the deeper skin layers. This means that both keratinocytes and fibroblasts are stimulated safely and without any mass shedding or peeling. It's a relatively quick treatment, with no discomfort and no downtime.
Treating neglected areas
Often used in isolation on the face, PRX-T33 can achieve fantastic results alone or when used alongside other treatments. However, if like the majority of patients we see in clinic, you have taken care of your face but neglected your hands, PRX-T33 can offer a fantastic treatment option! The treatment is now becoming really popular for both hands and décolletage - two areas often neglected as we focus all our time and attention on our face.
The hands can often be a tricky area to treat, but we have seen hands responding really well to the PRX-T33 treatment, helping to reduce sunspots and discolouration but also helping to plump skin and hydrate tissue.
Is there any downtime?
As we've already said PRX-T33, the "no-peel" peel has no downtime and a real positive of the treatment, is the fact that skin doesn't have to go through the traditional peeling and shedding phase, meaning that normal everyday activities can be undertaken soon after treatment, without fear of damage to over sensitised skin. Similarly, the decolletage often responds poorly to traditional treatments with irritation and excess shedding causing unsightly red patches. As PRX-T33 doesn't interfere with the top epidermal layers, skin looks smooth, tight and plump almost immediately.
As there is so little downtime, PRX-T33 can even be done on the day of an event to smooth out, plump and soften wrinkles. Long-lasting and measurable results can be achieved when delivered as a course of treatments.
Following an in-clinic consultation, our expert clinicians assess your suitability and recommend a course of treatments in order to achieve the best results. Prices start from £119 per PRX-T33 treatment.
