Growth Factor Facial: Kick-Start Your Fibroblasts

by Tuesday, April 23, 2019

As we age, our collagen and elastin levels deplete, affecting the general youthfulness of our skin. This can be caused by a number of factors including environmental damage, diet and lifestyle but unprotected sun exposure is the biggest cause for concern. These factors impact on skin and accelerate ageing leading to fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and pigmentation.

The Growth Factor Facial contains a highly advanced snail-derived growth factor complex to induce collagen production. As we know, collagen is the wonder-protein that plumps out fine lines and wrinkles on skin’s surface, giving us that youthful glowing appearance.

Who is it for?

This facial treatment is for anybody that has started to notice textural changes, making it ideal for sun damaged, stressed and ageing skin. It also works well as a standalone treatment to deliver a healthy glow whilst also evening out skin tone.

How does it work?

The Growth Factor Facial uses a three-part system to visibly improve the texture of skin…

Part 1 – Growth Factor Serum
During the treatment we use two types of growth factor serums, which contains a snail-derived complex, SCA BioRepair, which is capable of reactivating cell regeneration. This intensive growth factor complex is clinically proven to induce collagen production.

The concentrated growth factor serum is applied before the microneedling process explained in part 2.

Part 2 – Microneedling
A microneedling device is used to penetrate the surface of the skin working only on an epidermal level; this means there is no need for an anaesthetic cream to numb the area.

Microneedling stimulates and regenerates the top layer of skin, whilst creating an effective delivery system, infusing skin with the concentrated growth factor serum. This part of the treatment is comfortable for the client and delivers very effective results.

Once the microneedling is complete, a cooling gel mask is applied to soothe, hydrate and calm skin.

Part 3 – Lift & Sculpt Massage
This stage of the treatment uses massage with lifting techniques to increase the flow of oxygen and nutrients through skin, helping to clear away toxins. This helps encourage the products to absorb deeper into skin as well as offering a relaxing moment for the client.

Once the treatment is complete a high factor, broad-spectrum sunscreen is applied to protect the skin post-treatment.

This treatment works to reveal smooth, fresh, plumped and tightened skin with a radiant complexion. Visible results are seen after the first treatment and a course of three treatments is recommended, each spaced 1 month apart, to achieve the best results and maximum skin regeneration.
