Chosen By The Experts: Top Picks from Sian Ranscombe

Having started her career on the beauty desk at The Telegraph, Siân Ranscombe was creating online content and editorial for the paper's weekend supplement, Stella. For the last two and a half years, she has been Beauty Editor at Harper's Bazaar and Town & Country. Just like us, she's a lover of non-faddy skincare, is always interested in the latest skin and body treatments and regularly called upon for her skincare expertise.

Siân has chosen her favourite cleanser, Vitamin C capsules, hydrating serum and more! We love her choices and think you will too, read on to find out more

Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser

Of your entire routine, the product you can probably afford to spend the least on is your cleanser (after all, it's on your face for a few seconds, before being washed down the plughole) “ so I ummed and ahhed over this choice. However, the amount of joy I felt when using this made it worth every penny. I first used it in its old jar packaging, which was my only gripe “ thankfully Omorovicza have since changed it to the vastly preferably pump you see here. It feels and smells beautiful, gets rid of everything and leaves the skin clean, soft, glowing...possibly the nicest skincare experience you'll ever have in your own bathroom.

Exuviance AF Vitamin C20 Capsules

I love vitamin C in all its forms, but when kept in these single-use capsules you a). use the right amount and b). limit the amount of exposure the product itself has to light and air. I got a lot of freckles on my summer holiday last year and while they look great in the sun, I'm bored of them as soon as I get back to the grey of London “ these really helped to even my skin tone after I returned home.

Medik8 Hydr8 B5

I always use a hyaluronic acid serum and this one, though quite new to me, is fast becoming the best I've tried so far. It does everything it promises, leaving the skin feeling firmer and more hydrated but crucially also sits really well under make-up. In drier weather unless you have very dry skin, it's unlikely you'd even need a moisturiser on top of this.

SkinCeuticals Redness Neutralizer

This was recommended to me by a dermatologist after being prescribed retinol for the first time. Thanks to the name, I'd probably never have looked twice at it otherwise, but it's a really simple, gentle, lovely moisturiser for skin that's been through the wringer. It's recommended for post-procedure skin but is also great for days you're feeling a bit hot and bothered or weather-beaten.

Zelens Z Matrix Energy & Moisture Infusion

Officially, this cream is designed to refresh and revitalise the skin (which it does), but it also leaves skin completely soft and satisfied without making it greasy or shiny “ I rarely see a moisturiser all the way through to the end but I used this one right down to the last scrapings. For all these products and more, shop online now!
