Folliculitis (Ingrowing Hair)

Ingrown Hair can also be known as Folliculitis or Keratosis Pilaris, and is a common inflammation of the hair follicle. When the hair follicle becomes blocked or damaged it is prone to attack from bacteria, viruses and fungus which then lead to infections such as Folliculitis.

The common white heads that appear around the hair shaft can be seen singularly or in the form of a rash anywhere on the body. However the most common areas are regions where the body has been shaved such as the facial and pubic regions or the back of arms, armpits, legs and even the scalp.

Depending on the type of Ingrown Hair, Laser Hair Removal Treatment or Alkaline Wash can effectively remove the hair.
