How to get rid of body acne
Body acne is a very common problem for men, and especially for adolescent boys, with the main areas affected being the back and the chest. This can also be a problem for some women. This problem can often affect day to day activities and self esteem.
From our experience with body acne sufferers who have visited the clinic, from talking to them we have found they are often very self conscious and avoid taking their shirt off in public, which in the summer months when you are looking to go on holiday can be quite a problem. Acne on the body and chest can also become very painful. If the condition is left untreated, as well as pain and discomfort it can result in serious skin damage such as scaring.
Here at Face the Future, we use the latest Danné Montague King acne treatments to combat chest, back and body acne (as well as facial acne), but firstly, let’s look at the key causes to chest acne then the ways of treating this skin problem.
Collagen and Elastin
Whether we consider the skin on our face or body, everyone knows that collagen is important for the skin. Indeed it is the principle structural protein holding the skin together. The quantity and quality of your skins collagen has a major role in your appearance. Therefore it may be tempting to think that getting collagen into your skin could lead to dramatic rejuvenating effects. While there is a grain of truth in that, things are more complicated than they seem.
Collagen is not like most proteins, which are essentially compact molecular clumps – it is basically a fibre, or when fully mature, a mesh of fibres. Not surprisingly, collagens composition is also unusual. It is particularly rich in four amino acids, lysine, proline, hydroxylsine and hydroxyproline.
NEW – Restylane Lidocaine – Pain Free Fillers
Face the Future now has another top of the range filler product available at our clinic. Restylane have now introduced Restylane Lidocaine and Restylane Perlane Lidocaine, which is “Restylane – now with pain relief”.
These two products, which are used for dermal fillers, include 0.3% lidocaine to give our clients a comfortable filler treatment session which is less painful and similar to that of juvederm ultra.
Lidocaine was first synthesised in 1943 by the chemist Nils Löfgren in Stockholm. Together with his colleague Bengt Lundqvist, they developed one of the swiftest and safest local anaesthetics.
