It’s finally arrived, the very latest skin tightening machine from Japan. The RF2241 has been developed over a period of 10 years and we are all very excited to be one of the first clinics in the UK to have taken delivery of this fantastic machine.

The RF works by penetrating the skin by up to 50mm into the subcutaneous layer contracting the collagen strands using radio frequency heat waves. During the process the machine stimulates new collagen production, which in turn smooths the surface skin, reducing lines and wrinkles and provides immediate skin tightening and further long term tightening effects.

There are many different ways of removing hair, some temporary and some permanent. Here at Face the Future we specialise in permanent hair removal, which is ideal for people who no longer want to deal with unwanted hair.

Lots of people shave, pluck and wax without realizing that by doing this they will actually stimulate hair growth!

If you suffer from thick dark hair in any area we offer IPL (intense pulsed light) laser hair removal, to remove the hair permanently. This is available for both men and women and works by the IPL emitting a broad spectrum of light directly into the hair follicle. The light energy turns to heat energy and damages or destroys the hair follicle resulting in permanent reduction in hair.

Areas that can be treated include faces, chests, backs, legs, bikini and underarms plus many more. Clients with dark course hair will achieve better results and the IPL will pick up the pigment in the hair much easier. Clients with fairer hair will still get results but many need a few more treatments. Six to ten sessions are normally recommended with 4-6 week intervals depending on the area being treated, so if you want hair free legs for your summer holidays, you should start your treatments soon.

It seems the Americans are now selling collagen drinks on the pretence that swallowing these drinks will miraculously improve wrinkles and or improve the signs of aging.

This is impossible and would be an expensive mistake if the product arrives in the UK at prices similar to America. Forget the hype, good skin is achieved by good food, pure omega 3 (or fresh oily fish), exercise and a good quality cleanser and a moisturiser that actually penetrates the surface of the skin.
